Five people were killed in gunfire in the US city of Raleigh. According to Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, one of the victims was a police officer who was not on duty at the time, as reported by the news channel CNN, among others.
A suspect has been arrested, police said on Twitter. The background to the crime in the state of North Carolina initially remained unclear. Two injured were taken to the hospital, according to Baldwin, including a police officer from a dog unit.
