In order to free a cat from the engine compartment, firefighters in Essen had to dismantle a car. According to the information, the black and white spotted animal was hiding behind the underbody paneling. It didn’t want to come out voluntarily. The owners of the car had heard her meowing and alerted the helpers. So the car was lifted with air jacks and supported with scaffolding. The right front tire and parts of the wheel housing were then removed.

Finally, the cat was exposed and fled the engine compartment, hissing, according to the statement. Passers-by had previously managed to take photos of her and share them online so that their owners knew. Finally, the car was reassembled. The incident happened on Saturday morning.
