Sunday, May 29th, at 5 p.m. the lower alpine rescue teams were mobilized to assist in a paragliding accident that occurred in pairs on the municipal territory Ubaye-Serre-Poncon. The first elements indicate that the paragliders plummeted about ten metres during takeoff.

The firefighters and the gendarmes responded to the call. Also, the helicopter of Smur (Emergency resuscitation mobile services) from the Hautes-Alpes was dispatched. A 28-year old man with back pain was taken by ambulance to the Gap hospital. The monitor, who was also experiencing back pain, was flown by helicopter to the Gapencais hospital.
