So, guess what? Indian officials are saying there was a little shootout with Pakistani soldiers near their super militarized border in Kashmir. This all went down right after some tourists got attacked near Pahalgam, in Kashmir, and now things are getting pretty heated between the two countries. No one really knows what’s gonna happen next, but tensions are running high, that’s for sure.

The Indian army folks are saying the Pakistanis shot at them first with some small arms in Kashmir on Thursday night. But hey, the Indian soldiers fired back and thankfully no one got hurt. Over in Pakistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs isn’t saying much about it. They’re just waiting for the military to give them the green light before they speak up.

Both India and Pakistan are pointing fingers at each other, saying the other one started it all in Kashmir. But the United Nations is stepping in, asking them to chill out and not let things get any worse. Easy for them to say, right? After that tourist attack, India is cutting ties left and right with Pakistan. And in response, Pakistan is hitting back by shutting down trade and canceling visas.

It’s a big mess, and no one really knows how it’s all gonna play out. But one thing’s for sure – tensions are high, and things are getting pretty dicey over in Kashmir.
