For the murder of a young Brazilian in 2019, the Hamburg district court has again sentenced a 48-year-old to life imprisonment. Even if the body of the 28-year-old had already decomposed, the sequence of events could have been reconstructed, said presiding judge Jessica Koerner on Monday.
The accused drugged the 28-year-old in his apartment in Hamburg in order to force him to have sex. When he suddenly screamed, he killed him. “The killing was done to prevent his crime from being discovered,” said Koerner. The accused then hid the body in his guest room for months.
The Italian had already been sentenced to life imprisonment on April 22, 2021. However, the federal court overturned the murder conviction in May 2022 and remanded the case to another circuit.
According to the judges, the accused had already given an acquaintance a drink with knockout drops at a party in 2018, raped the unconscious person and taken photos and videos of it.
