After an accident as a result of a medical emergency, a man died on the A4 near Cologne. The 45-year-old was on Sunday with his wife and three children with an empty horse trailer when the car left the road just after the Köln-West junction in the direction of Aachen, the police said on Sunday evening. The empty horse trailer overturned. The 45-year-old was resuscitated on site, but succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The other family members were not injured. The police were initially unable to provide any information about her age. According to the police, there is evidence of an internal medical background as the cause of the accident. The lane in the direction of Aachen was temporarily blocked.
