A number of people were injured in an accident involving two fully occupied buses in the New York borough of Manhattan. This was announced by the New York Fire Department.
According to this, 18 injured people were initially taken to nearby hospitals. More than 60 other people are still under investigation. No one appeared to have life-threatening injuries, firefighters told reporters at the scene. Most injuries are cuts, bruises or abrasions.
One of the vehicles involved was a double-decker bus for tourist tours. This was probably driven onto a public transport bus. The fire brigade initially gave no information on the exact course of the accident.
