The state chairman of the German Federation of Trade Unions (DGB) in Bavaria, Bernhard Stiedl, called for more objectivity in politics again after the state elections. “The election campaign in Bavaria was conducted in many places without taking the needs of the citizens into account,” said Stiedl on Sunday in Munich. The debate was characterized by populist statements. “Those who run after populists are driving votes to them,” said Stiedl.
The upcoming coalition negotiations must, among other things, focus on fair wages, an end to collective bargaining and affordable housing in Bavaria, demanded Stiedl. “People there expect solutions.”
