The Civil Guard together with the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Alicante have prevented a person from fraudulently obtaining authorization to drive motor vehicles, lacking the basic and necessary knowledge in terms of traffic and road safety, which would have entailed “a serious problem of insecurity for the rest of the users who make use of our streets and highways”, as indicated by the Benemérita in a statement.
The Traffic Research and Analysis Group of the Alicante Subsector in collaboration with officials from the Provincial Headquarters of Alicante, within the framework of the services that are carried out for the proper development of the tests for obtaining or recovering the different permits of Driving, on May 25 in one of the classrooms of the aforementioned Headquarters, a person was discovered who was using a complex electronic system in order to obtain the correct answers to the exam he was taking.
The nervousness, behavior and posture adopted by the man during the test quickly made the agents and examiners suspicious.
He was immediately identified and explored, verifying that inside his clothes and attached to his body, he hid a mobile data receiver and transmitter that received and sent the information, a micro-camera attached to the buttonhole of his sleeve that captured the exam questions and a vibration transmitter that gave the answers to the exam by means of impulses.
After the end of the test and once the fraudulent attempt to carry out the exam was verified, the 39-year-old man, a resident of Almería and of Moroccan nationality, was denounced in accordance with the reform of this year’s Traffic Law, Circulation of Motor Vehicles and Road Safety.
This conduct is typified as a very serious infraction, and in addition to the fine proportional to the corresponding seriousness, it also entails the impossibility of appearing again for the aforementioned tests within a period of six months.
