The Seprona patrol in Brihuega (Guadalajara) investigates the causes of the abandonment of two dogs on a farm in the small town of Cogollor, located 26 kilometers from the road and with just a few dozen inhabitants.

The agents appeared several times at the house, a second residence, where they verified that the hygienic and sanitary conditions of the dogs worsened until they reached a state of severe malnutrition that put their lives at serious risk.

In addition, its owner ignored the requirements of the agents to give the animals the appropriate care. That is why the agents wrote some proceedings for a crime related to the protection of flora, fauna and domestic animals.

The Civil Guard recalls that behaviors of abuse and abandonment of domestic animals carry prison sentences of up to 18 months, in addition to disqualification from exercising any profession that is related to animals and for their possession.
