Although the Covid has stopped opening news and being daily news in the newspapers, the virus and the disease it causes still exist. For this reason, the Ministry of Health is going to reorganize the centers that dispense the vaccine to stop its progress, while closing the doors of the ‘vaccinology center’ that opened at the WiZink Center, where almost 1,250,000 vaccines have been given.
The staff that provided this service at WiZink until now -203 professionals from SUMMA 112- will move to the Isabel Zendal Nursing Hospital to care for people over 12 years of age every day of the week. Specifically, those that will attend to people over 12 are the hospitals in Alcorcón, Clínico San Carlos, 12 de Octubre, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Gregorio Marañón, Henares, Infanta Cristina, Infanta Elena, Infanta Leonor, Infanta Sofía, Móstoles, La Paz, Príncipe Asturias, Puerta de Hierro-Majadahonda and Villalba.
In addition, at the Isabel Zendal Hospital, people over 12 years of age will continue to be vaccinated without an appointment, from Monday to Sunday, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
As for children from 5 to 11 years old, they can request a self-appointment at the hospitals of Alcorcón, Clínico San Carlos, 12 de Octubre, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Infanta Sofía, Niño Jesús, La Paz, Príncipe de Asturias, Puerta de Hierro-Majadahonda , Southeast, Tagus and Villalba.
From next Monday, the self-appointment system will be maintained in 16 hospitals of the Madrid public network for people over 12 years of age, and in 13 of them for the age range of 5 to 11 years.
Primary Care health centers will continue to immunize until Friday, June 17; by that day, they will have inoculated some 3.3 million doses. And the Madrid College of Physicians will continue to be open from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., to inoculate vaccines.
