The Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Castilla-La Mancha, based in Cuenca, starts this June with the beginning of the selection process for teachers and the admission of students.

The specialty with which the next course opens will be Interpretation and a total of 24 places will be offered. The forecasts are that there will be a hundred students in the first class.

The school has been installed in the ‘San José’ institute whose works have an investment of 1.4 million euros, an investment to add to the 888,124 euros with which the implementation of the four interpretation courses in this new school.

As reported at a press conference by the spokesperson for the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Blanca Fernández, on Friday, June 3, the selection process for the School’s teaching staff begins.

The resolution is published this Thursday, June 2, and aims to set up a job bank for teachers who are specialists and can teach higher studies in dramatic art in specialties such as theory of the arts, entertainment, body expression , interpretation in the text theater, diction or oral expression, among others.

Those who want to participate in this pool must have the appropriate specialties and teaching experience and experience in the artistic field will be valued, Fernández pointed out.

On September 29, the first course of this school will begin. Six specialist teachers will be hired who will impart new signatures, which are the theory of performance and communication, stories of performing arts, interpretation, theory of interpretation, body expression, dance, vocal technique, music and dramatic literature.

The Ministry of Education has proposed that Miguel Lorenzo Mula Soler be the person who directs the Superior School of Dramatic Art of Castilla-La Mancha.
