This commitment by the Department of Education of the Teulada City Council, which is joined by the Fundación del Auditori Teulada Moraira with the producer of the saxophonists of Purple Pansa, will open the Summer Academy of the Auditori Teulada Moraira from June 27 to 30.
This festival will feature a series of activities over the four days, not only for those who are registered saxophone lovers, professionals or amateurs, but also for the general public who want to enjoy Saxem nights at the Auditori Teulada Moraira . There will be three concerts that will be offered with different themes, styles and artists.
At the opening ceremony of the course, the invited teachers for this second edition have been presented to the students present, who together with the Purple Pansa quartet will form the teaching team that these days will teach instrumental techniques for the improvement of the students in their training.
This new edition of the Saxem Teulada Moraira Festival has important figures in the world of the saxophone, such as the Russian Nikita Zimin, who graduated from the prestigious Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow and the National Conservatory in Paris. Laureate with prestigious international awards for his musical career.
Miguel A. Lorente will be another of the teachers at this festival. Trained in different national and international music conservatories, he graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Madrid with Professor Manuel Miján, a pioneer of the so-called “classical” saxophone in Spain and a great promoter of this instrument. He is part of the Higher Music Center of the Basque Country, Musikene.
As accompanying pianist, the Festival will have the presence of the Argentinian Michel Reynoso. He has been honored in numerous international competitions, recently receiving the award for Best Accompanying Pianist at the II “José Carreras” International Singing Competition held in Moscow. The Purple Pansa quartet will be the teachers in charge of both the technical-musical organization of the festival and giving classes to the registered chamber groups.
On Tuesday 28, the first concert of the Festival will take place by Purple Pansa. “Alma” is the title of this concert and it will be full of great beauty, energy and sensuality. A concert where Spanish music will be the main protagonist.
On Wednesday 29 the concert will be given by the participating teachers, where we will discover the different styles and techniques among them. These two concerts will take place at 10 p.m.
On Thursday 30, at 7:30 p.m., the closing of the Saxem will take place with a very special concert where teachers and students will meet on the stage of the Auditori Teulada Moraira to delight us with a concert under the title, the Future of the Saxophone.
Admission is free and limited to the capacity of the room, where an invitation is not required.
