The general secretary of the PPdeG, Paula Prado, has charged this Friday against the new concession map of bus lines presented by the Government, which she has called “authentic nonsense” because “delves into the abandonment of the rural”; and she has announced an “offensive” of her party, both in the regional Parliament, through a non-law proposal, and in the 313 councils, through motions in plenary sessions.

Prado, in line with the complaints previously expressed from the Xunta, both by its president, Alfonso Rueda, and by the Minister of Infrastructure, Ethel Vázquez, has recalled that 23 municipalities, with more than 136,000 inhabitants, will be left without stopping with the new plan, which also promotes transfers on long-distance trips.

“Could it be that Sánchez and his ministers are depopulating Spain?” he asked himself.

For number two of the Galician PP, from the Executive they are “turning Galicia” into an “isolated” community. “Opt to disconnect Galicia”, he criticized at a press conference, accompanied by the mayor of Palas de Rei, Pablo Taboada, the deputy mayor of Lalín, Paz Asorey, and the PP spokesmen in Arzúa, Melide, Silleda and Allariz: Rafael Rivadulla, Dalia Couso, Ignacio Maril and Luz Doporto.

In addition to these criticisms, Prado has announced the popular response: with a PNL already registered on Thursday in O Hórreo, motions will be presented “in all the councils of Galicia”, with the aim that “together we will be able to reverse this situation”. The day before, Rueda ratified that they will allege to try to stop the Government’s claims.

“It is a step backwards, a real disaster for the rural councils”, added the councilor of Palas de Rei, who has spoken of “a disastrous decision by the central government” and “yet another sign” that he has “no implication” with that “emptied Spain” of which “they fill their mouths so much” proclaiming their defense, Taboada criticized. For the mayor of the Lugo council, it is “no use” for them to try to “value the rural” in the face of an example of “absolute contempt” like this. Not only because of the “loss of services”, he has warned, but also because of the impact on young people who use it to get around or tourists.

Additionally, Prado has once again demanded that the Government transfer the management of the coastline, because it makes no sense for it to be done from a “Madrid office”, influencing the legal backing handled by the Xunta, and claiming that, contrary to what that the central Executive says, a reform of the Statute is not necessary. Rueda will raise this issue at his meeting on Monday with Ana Pontón and Valentín González Formoso, Prado said, with the idea, as with other issues, of achieving a “country position” that will transfer to Sánchez when he grants an audience to Rueda.

“We do not want 313 grievances neither with public transport nor with the management of the coast,” Prado stressed.
