The municipalities of the province of Toledo can now begin to invest in their municipalities the subsidies of the historic Extraordinary Investment Plan that the Government of the Provincial Council of Toledo has launched this year, with which it will allocate to the towns of Toledo the historic amount of 18 million euros, the highest figure consigned by the provincial Institution to finance a municipal support program.
Investments with which the municipalities of the province of Toledo can start their projects this week after the Provincial Executive approved last Friday in the Governing Board the resolution of the ‘Extraordinary Investment Plan for the consolidation of the reactivation of activity economy and municipal recovery’ for 2022 that guarantees the execution of the proposals and actions that the municipal governments have requested.
With this new extraordinary investment plan, as highlighted by the president of the Toledo Provincial Council, Álvaro Gutiérrez, “we not only maintain, but also increase our extraordinary, unconditional and determined support for the municipalities of Toledo with this very important and historic economic injection , neither more nor less than 18 million euros, 20% more than what we allocate in 2021, and that will benefit all the municipalities of the province of Toledo, reaching 209 local entities ».
“With this extraordinary support, we want to consolidate the reactivation and recovery of the municipal economic activity that we began in 2021 and for this we provide the municipalities of the province of Toledo with resources destined to the municipal sphere, to the economic sectors and agents, to continue promoting the economic and social recovery, stimulating the dynamic and multiplier effects on production and consolidating the creation of employment and wealth. In short, promoting the improvement of the quality of life of citizens, “said Gutiérrez.
«There are 18 million euros for the municipalities of the province of Toledo, to carry out hundreds of works, 18 million euros to generate employment, to generate wealth, to generate, in short, opportunities in the municipalities and opportunities that are also going to have an impact on the welfare of the citizenry. Because all these investments, in addition to producing wealth in the local and provincial economy, will improve the living conditions of the citizens of the province of Toledo, which is why we work from the provincial government”, added the president of the Deputation.
The works that the city councils are going to start up in the municipalities with these extraordinary funds from the Diputación range from the improvement of municipal infrastructures, such as sports, cultural, social or administrative facilities; actions to improve road infrastructure such as streets, squares and highways, and projects to reform the sanitation network and public lighting.
Thus, financing is provided to the municipalities to carry out equipment works and municipal installations and new infrastructures, or the repair, improvement and rehabilitation of existing ones.
And, also, for economic reactivation and recovery through the participation of companies with public-private action formulas and the promotion of contracting as generators of wealth and employment in municipal economies.
