The Governing Council of the Junta de Castilla y León has agreed this Thursday to appoint Óscar Villanueva Manzanares as Deputy Minister of Industrial and Labor Dynamization, as reported by the spokesman and Minister of Economy and Finance, Carlos Fernández Carriedo.

Villanueva is a Civil Engineer, specializing in Foundations and Structures from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1992) and has a master’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the ESIC-Pozuelo Business School (1997). In addition, he is an agent of Real Estate Property, by the Ministry of Development, since the year 2000.

He has worked as a wealth manager (furniture and real estate), developing mathematical algorithms for automatic data analysis and decision making between 2011 and 2022.

He has collaborated with large consultancies and public bodies in the drafting of strategic plans and European projects between 2014 and 2016 and has been director of several commercial real estate developers between 1998 and 2011.

Likewise, between 1992 and 1998, he held management positions in leading national and international companies in all fields of civil engineering: project drafting, quality control laboratories, new construction companies, and specialized in rehabilitation and maintenance of large infrastructures.

On the other hand, the Deputy Minister for Cultural Action, Mar Sancho, will be the Commissioner for the Spanish Language, as it is a responsibility that must fall to a senior position in the regional Administration. The spokesperson and Minister for Economy and Finance, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, reported of this appointment in the appearance after the Governing Council.
