The Covid-19 crisis generated a large savings bank in Spain, which has not yet been released. But this situation has not been the same for everyone, even more so knowing that after the pandemic, the rise in energy prices and the consequences of the war in Ukraine are now being faced. One fact: one in ten Spaniards has nothing saved.
«The current context of war in Ukraine, problems in supply chains and the transport sector, as well as price inflation, have meant that uncertainty continues to be one of the aspects that most defines the current economic situation, turning savings in one of the main concerns of citizens, ”says a study by the financial platform Nickel.
13.2% confirm that they do not have any savings, but the statistics do not stop there. More than half of those surveyed (55.1%) say they are worried about their savings, as opposed to 31.6% who say they are not worried since they have known how to plan their expenses and are certain that they are saving something.
According to the study carried out by Nickel, age is a factor to take into account when planning expenses and worrying about savings. Almost half of those over 61 years old surveyed (45.8%) consider that they plan their expenses well and are not worried about their savings, compared to 18.4% of young people between 18 and 30 years old who say the same.
