The Diputación de Alicante will contribute this year 200,000 euros for the development of the 2022 Tourism Dynamization and Governance Plan in Vega Baja. This project, included in the collaboration agreement between Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and Convega, seeks, as the deputy for Economic Development and president of this Consortium, Sebastián Cañadas, to “promote the development of the region, betting on a tourist offer based on criteria of competitiveness, sustainability and innovation”.
The project, which has a budget for this year of 400,000 euros, subsidized in equal parts by Convega, with the full contribution of the provincial institution, and the Generalitat, will have among its objectives the promotion of the Vega Baja del Segura Territory brand in the business fabric of the region through campaigns to promote it, presentation of the website or the acquisition of promotional material.
The creation of new tourism products such as trails and themed routes will be another of the strategies that will be promoted in the coming months. In this section, the signage of the regional network of routes of the Vega Baja or the adequacy in terms of safety of the cycle paths “Los Azarbes” and “Sotos del Segura” stand out.
The development of tools for the dissemination of the territory (photo contests, attendance at fairs, spots) are other actions contemplated in this revitalization plan that also includes training actions on sustainable tourism.
