The Ministry of Education, University, Sciences reported this Friday that the Community of Madrid will start the 2022/23 school year on September 7, which will end on June 22 next year.
The Nursery Schools, Children’s Houses (0-3 years), Infant and Primary Education schools, Special Education and the integrated Artistic Music Teaching centers will start on the 7th -Wednesday-, while the 8th of September will be the date of the return to the classrooms in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and the integrated centers of Artistic Music Education and ESO.
For its part, the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education, University, Sciences and Spokesperson states that on September 12 the teaching activity will start for the students of the Professional Conservatories of Music and Dance, the Official Schools of Languages and 2nd of the cycles of Plastic Arts and Design of the Schools of Art.
Finally, the Adult Education Centers will do it on September 16 and the 1st year of the cycles of Plastic Arts and Design, on the 22 of the same month.
The Christmas holidays will begin on December 23 and classes will resume on January 9, while the non-teaching period for Easter will take place between March 31 and April 10, 2023. On October 12 , November 1, December 6 and 8, 2022 will be general holidays. Likewise, October 31, December 5 and 7, 2022, as well as February 24 and 27, 2023 are also enabled as non-teaching days.
The course will end on July 31 in the first cycle of Infant Education and on June 22 in the second cycle of Infant, Primary, Special Education, ESO, FP, Artistic Music Teaching, Professional Music and Dance Conservatories, Official Language Schools , Schools of Art and Adult Education. The 1st Baccalaureate students will also conclude on the same day, the 22nd, while for the 2nd year the dates will be adapted to the needs arising from the completion of the final evaluation and the university admission procedures.
This calendar for the 2022/23 academic year for educational centers supported by public funds in the region will be published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (Bocm).
