The XV edition of the Boccherini Festival, an activity carried out jointly by the City Councils of Talavera de la Reina and Arenas de San Pedro, has been held in the City of Ceramics after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The deputy mayor, Montserrat Muro, highlighted the territorial borders that are crossed with this event and the satisfaction of “bringing music to the streets of Talavera and Arenas” to bring culture closer to the neighbors. Muro valued the collaboration of both administrations to publicize the legacy of Luigi Boccherini” and recover presence in emblematic enclaves of the city, such as Plaza del Salvador, Plaza de San Agustín or a jewel such as Plaza del Pan, to listen to the magnificent performances of musical groups from Talavera and the town of Avila.
At the closing, with the concert of the quartet ‘Exordium Musicae’, were the councilors Carlos Gil and Sergio Gutiérrez; the mayor of Arenas, Juan Carlos Sánchez; the person in charge of the organization, Carina Ferrer and the descendant of the musician, Carmen Boccherini.
