Research to locate the 16-year-old girl who was swept away by the waters of the Rivière du Nord in Sainte-Adèle last week has been suspended, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) announced.

The teen’s family has been notified.

The SQ indicated that it could later carry out research on an ad hoc basis.

The young girl fell on May 12 while she was with friends under the rue Rolland bridge during their dinner break.

His friends tried to help him, without success.
