[Updated June 25, 2020 at 11:26 a.m.] Has confinement put a strain on your finances? The government has put in place several exceptional aids in the context of the coronavirus health crisis. Among them, financial aid reserved for students and certain young people under the age of 25. This financial boost amounts to 200 euros, paid in one go. Since May 12, students can initiate procedures on the dedicated website. For young people under the age of 25, who receive the APL, the payment is imminent: it is planned from this Thursday, June 25 by CAF. Conditions, procedures… Find in our article all the information on this device.

They are the other public concerned by the flat-rate aid of 200 euros: young people under the age of 25, precarious or modest, who receive APL, “for the month of April or May 2020”, a-t -it is specified in a decree published this Thursday, June 25. “The exceptional solidarity aid (…) is also granted to the household in which the spouse, the cohabitant or the partner of the civil solidarity pact of the beneficiary of the personal housing aid fulfills the age condition provided for”, we explain. “Only one aid is due per household”.

On its website, the Family Allowance Fund specifies that the payment is scheduled for June 25, 2020 for its beneficiaries concerned. “If you are under 25 years old and you receive personal housing assistance, the Caf will automatically pay you your precarious youth premium,” it says on the site. “So you don’t have to do anything! Just check that your bank details are registered, or up to date, in your “My Account” space on the caf.fr site, section Consult or modify my profile”.

In May, Edouard Philippe defined those who can benefit from this device. This concerns students who have lost their job or internship due to the health crisis as well as overseas students forced to stay in mainland France. In a second step, the administration set a number of conditions:

Students must send their request to the following address: https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/. Two modules are offered: one for students who have lost a job or a gratified internship (click here), the other for overseas residents (here). In both cases, a form is generated, allowing you to process your file with the Crous. What are the supporting documents to provide? It all depends on your situation:

“During the investigation of your request, your Crous is likely to ask you for other elements”, we warn on the site.

The aid is supposed to be paid by the Crous at the beginning of June, i.e. a few weeks after sending your request if it has been made in mid-May. On the dedicated government website, however, no specific deadline is indicated.
