Storm: Heavy rain on A3: 51-year-old from NRW seriously injured

On the Autobahn 3 in the direction of Cologne, a 51-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia was seriously injured in an accident. Because of a traffic jam and the rain, she drove into the car in front of her in Rhineland-Palatinate on Sunday afternoon, the police in Koblenz said. She was taken to a hospital. The passenger in the front car suffered minor injuries. The autobahn was closed in the direction of Cologne for about an hour and a half, and at times there was a traffic jam of twelve kilometers in length.
