When the former doctor Søren Ventegodt was 10 years old, drowned his brother in the eyes of him in Rørvig Beach.

Brother, I’m too happy for my own life
Back to the summer day in Rørvig Beach, where Søren Ventegodt and his then-8-year-old little brother was out, and bathe like so many other days that summer. Without supervision or special svømmeevner spent the two brothers virtually all of their vacation days at the popular sandy beach.
“the Beach in Rørvig is a very low tide, so it is a safe beach, but the day there was storm and the offshore wind. It prevented us not to bathe,” explains Søren Ventegodt in the podcast.

“And that’s where my guilt comes. I should have tried, even though it had cost my life. It is one of the hardest moments in life where you say, Unfortunately brother, I’m too happy for my own life, so I can’t come out and help you,” explains Søren Ventegodt, which today has a holiday at just the beach, which he has dubbed the ‘Jespersminde’.
