Tornadoes raged in several US states, killing at least three people. The authorities reported two of the deaths in Tennessee and another in North Carolina, as the US newspaper “USA Today” and the broadcaster CBS reported.
Accordingly, strong storms with rain and hail hit the central and eastern part of the United States. More than a dozen people were injured. Infrastructure such as houses and power lines were damaged or destroyed.
According to reports, parts of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and parts of the two east coast states of North Carolina and South Carolina were affected. The National Weather Service also issued temporary evening tornado warnings for areas in the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas that are often affected by this weather phenomenon.
This latest series of tornadoes began at the beginning of the week, according to media reports. There was one death in the state of Oklahoma, CBS reported. On Tuesday, storms hit the states of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. In Michigan, mobile wooden homes, among other things, were damaged near the town of Kalamazoo, as can be seen in photos.
