Next Friday, May 27, the deadline to apply for the School Check grant that the Valencia City Council will grant this year with a budget of 3.7 million euros ends. These aids will finance the expenses derived from the schooling of the minors during the 2022-2023 school period and the activities carried out during the month of July 2023. The maximum monthly amount of the check will be 120 euros with a limit of eleven monthly payments.
According to the bases of this call, minors enrolled in early childhood education who were born after January 1, 2017, aged between zero and six years, or who are expected to be born before December 31, may apply for aid. of 2022.
Both the boy or girl and the parents or, if applicable, their legal representatives must be registered in the municipality of Valencia. And because of the free education, minors enrolled in public centers, with full educational agreement or who occupy a place supported entirely with public funds, are excepted.
The budget earmarked for this call is 3,707,000 euros. The maximum monthly amount of the check will be 120 euros with a limit of eleven monthly payments. And in no case, the monthly amount of the aid may exceed the expenses incurred. Likewise, the School Check aid will not cover expenses originating outside the school period and hours: extracurricular activities, the dining room, books, school supplies or enrollment, among others.
As for applications, these can be submitted in the physical municipal registers, in the electronic register or through the systems provided for by law, including post offices or the official registers of the General Administration of the State and the Generalitat.
