The Nursing Union (Satse) has valued at 200 the hospital beds that will close this summer in centers in Castilla-La Mancha, which in the face of the rise of the seventh wave of coronavirus can be “a time bomb”, so they load against what they consider «lack of foresight and incapacity of health administrations».
Of the 200 beds that they estimate will be closed in the hospitals of Castilla-La Mancha, 40 beds correspond to the hospitals of the province of Albacete; 50 in the province of Ciudad Real and 111 in the province of Toledo).
According to the Satse studies, since last June, scheduled and progressive closures of beds, outpatient consultations, diagnostic tests and surgical interventions have been re-established in hospital centers throughout the State, which will continue in the months of July, August and September, informs the training in a press release.
Specifically, and according to the data collected by Satse in the different autonomies, it is expected that at least 8,594 beds will be closed in the summer in the whole of the State.
In this regard, Satse points out that it is a global figure “down”, since in different centers and services they have not wanted to give the data, arguing that it will depend on the future evolution of the situation.
