A man dragged a police officer with his car during a police check in Farnstädt. According to the police, the man was noticed by his driving behavior on Tuesday night. Then he should be checked. The officers found him standing next to his running vehicle on federal highway 180 in the Saaleland district. When checked, the 51-year-old man became aggressive. He attacked the police officers and insulted them. Then he got into his vehicle. One of the officers leaned into the man’s car to get the key. The 51-year-old then drove off and dragged the police officers along for a few meters. The police officer was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. The 51-year-old drove away. He was later found by police at his home and arrested. He is now being investigated for drunk driving and serious bodily harm, among other things.
