Kateryna Polynska takes photos: of bomb craters, dead animals, damage left by Russian bombs in Ukrainian national parks. She collects water and soil samples for laboratory analysis. For the environment, it runs the risk of becoming a victim of the Russian war of aggression itself. Because on her forays through the Ukraine, the landscape ecologist comes very close to the front.
