First the dress code: it has to be formal, but pantsuits are now also allowed for women. However, the ladies can’t do anything without a hat. The gentlemen wear a “morning coat” (not a bathrobe, but a kind of frock coat), a suit or uniform, but without medals, please. National dress is allowed, whoever is mayor may also wear his heavy chain of office.
