The Regional Metropolitan Transport Authority (ARTM) announced on Wednesday the start of the 4th season of river shuttles for June 4 with the expansion of its pilot project from one to six connections this year on the St. Lawrence River .

In addition to the traditional shuttle linking Pointe-aux-Trembles to the Old Port of Montreal, the ARTM provides for the activation of the link between the Old Port and Boucherville and another between the Old Port, Île Sainte-Hélène and Longueuil.
Another route will be added on June 6 between Boucherville and the Promenade Bellerive park, which could be an alternative for citizens impacted by work on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel construction site.
The express service between the Old Port and Île Sainte-Hélène will begin on June 18, while the shuttle linking Promenade Bellerive Park and Île Charron will be put into service on June 24, according to the shuttle program. river 2022.
Pending the new tariff on July 1, the unit pass is $5.50 and free for children under 11, while users can book on shipowners’ reservation platforms from May 28.
“The extension of the pilot project will feed our analyzes in order to determine whether we are going ahead with the establishment of a sustainable network of river shuttles”, indicated in a press release the director general of the ARTM Benoît Gendron.
