Due to the ongoing construction work of the REM aerial structure in the West Island of Montreal, road obstructions are to be expected from Friday until the end of May.

These obstacles involve the closure of the A40 at Boulevard Henri-Bourassa to allow the installation of the REM apron above the highway, a crossing that will be carried out in four phases by May 30.

The service road of the A40 westbound will therefore be closed from Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m., while Highway 40 will remain open to traffic during the same period, indicated the CDPQ Infra.

On the other hand, the A40 westbound will be completely closed at night from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., at Saint-Régis and Henri-Bourassa boulevards, during next week, while for the weekend was planned in a westerly direction.

The eastbound A40 will also be completely closed at night from May 23 to 27, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., between boulevards Saint-Régis and Henri-Bourassa, while the service road will be closed only during the weekend of May 27 to 30.
