Aurora Mühlen GmbH had a durum wheat semolina removed from the shelves because of possible mold growth. As a precaution, the Hamburg-based company is recalling the product Goldpuder durum wheat semolina, 500g with the best before date November 12, 2023, as announced on Wednesday.
“Despite all the care and the strictest quality controls, it cannot be ruled out that there may be isolated cases of mold growth on the affected products,” it said. The affected products could be recognized by smell and color deviations. Consumption can lead to vomiting and diarrhea.
According to the information, the products were sold in food retailers in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. Customers who bought these products could also return them to the stores without presenting the receipt.
