Princess Leonor will present the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards this afternoon at the Cornellà de Llobregat Water Museum, in Barcelona. An act in which she will be accompanied by King Felipe, with whom she shares the honorary presidency of the Princess of Girona Foundation, Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofía.

At the end of the awards ceremony, Princess Leonor is expected to make a speech, in what will be her third speech in Catalonia. Felipe VI will close the act, which will also address the winners.

The Princess of Girona Foundation Awards recognize the professional careers of talented young people up to 35 years of age. This year’s edition has awarded five women: the actress, playwright and producer, María Hervás (Arts and Letters Award); the engineer Elisenda Bou-Balust (Company Award); the physicist and researcher Eleonora Viezzer (Scientific Research Award); the psychologist and social entrepreneur Claudia Tecglen (Social Prize) and the Vietnamese conservationist and writer Trang Nguyen (International Prize).

With the awards ceremony ends the stay of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía in Catalonia, which began on Sunday afternoon with the first visit of the Crown Prince to Girona.
