A 37-year-old man was killed in an apartment in Mainz-Bretzenheim on Saturday evening. The police and public prosecutor announced this on Sunday. The background to the crime is still completely unclear, said a police spokesman. The suspected perpetrator is a German. Investigators initially did not provide any information about his age, the relationship between the two men and the cause of death. The ambulance alerted the police. It was not immediately clear who had called him.
