The rising tide and precipitation from the previous night caused flooding near the crossing area on Dalhousie Street on Tuesday morning in Quebec City.

The St. Lawrence River overflowed at the height of the Louis Jolliet ship, an area conducive to this type of event where the roadway is wet a few times a year.

Automobile traffic had to be interrupted in both directions under the supervision of officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Québec.
