In Hanover, a 34-year-old was shot dead on a platform. The man was fatally injured with a firearm at a light rail station in the Döhren district late Tuesday evening around 11:20 p.m. and died in hospital, the police said. The perpetrator or perpetrators initially fled. The report spoke of a previous dispute.
The shots were heard by residents who then alerted the police, reports the “Bild” newspaper. Now the police are looking for two fugitive men with whom the victim is said to have had an argument shortly before the crime.
According to the NDR, the police were alerted by several witnesses. The officers who then arrived at the scene of the crime would have provided first aid until the emergency services took care of the further treatment of the victim, the station quoted a police spokeswoman as saying.
