Members of the Kurdish community have gathered in the center of the French capital following a man’s deadly attack on Kurdish facilities in Paris. Violent clashes ensued, including with security forces. The “Kurdish Democratic Council” in France had previously called for a rally. Several hundred people gathered on Republic Square on Saturday afternoon. Many held up banners and flags and demanded that the crime be clarified. On Friday, according to prosecutors, a 69-year-old man attacked a Kurdish cultural center and a nearby café in the 10th district of Paris and shot dead three people. According to the information, other people were injured and the man was arrested. He is known to the police, among other things because of an attack on migrants in Paris. It was said that the question of a racial background would be investigated. There had already been clashes between an angry crowd and the police on Friday.
