An 86-year-old wheelchair user hit and seriously injured a pedestrian during the Christmas market in Leegebruch. The police in the Oberhavel district are investigating him on suspicion of negligent bodily harm. The accident happened on Saturday in a parking lot for the Christmas market, said a police spokesman. The 68-year-old woman was taken to a hospital. It is not known whether the wheelchair user had already come from the Christmas market and had possibly drunk alcohol.
