If you want to feel the light falling through the glass dome, you have to look up steeply. Depending on the time of day, the sun shines on different parts of the huge wall fresco, 1400 square meters in size, in the historical rotunda. The roof, created in 1813 as France’s first dome made of glass and wrought iron, seems to have been made for the new use of the rooms.
