She succeeds Gabriel Attal. This Friday, Olivia Grégoire was appointed spokesperson for the government of Elisabeth Borne. Like her predecessor, she will be responsible for discussing the various topics discussed in the Council of Ministers and explaining the work of the government, as well as representing it in the media.
Since July 2020, Olivia Grégoire had already held a position within the executive. The 44-year-old elected official was Secretary of State for the Social, Solidarity Economy and responsible to the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery, in the Jean Castex government. Relatively little known to the general public, she notably distinguished herself for having pleaded for a mechanism for the payment of dividends to employees, last February.

The LREM MP for the 12th district of Paris, also a candidate for re-election, knows the institutions well, which she has frequented in positions since the 2000s. She was notably in charge of mission to Jean-Pierre Raffarin from 2002 to 2005 , then collaborator of Xavier Bertrand at the Ministry of Health and Solidarity from 2005 to 2007.
Relatively little known at the time, this “social-liberal” as she defined herself joined En Marche in 2017 and was elected MP for Paris with 56.36% of the votes at the end of the second round, in a lightning and particularly intense which allowed him to win against the tenor of the Parisian right Philippe Goujon.
In the Assembly, she had been appointed spokesperson for the LREM group. His predecessor, Gabriel Attal, held the position for two years marked by the Covid-19 crisis and the war in Ukraine. He too had been elected deputy – from Hauts-de-Seine – then spokesperson, of the LREM party this time, in 2018.
