Castilla y León has registered 61 new deaths from Covid in the last week, seven of them in Community residences, in a period in which 7,030 new cases were registered, a figure that represents a drop of 30 percent compared to 10,043 registered between May 6 to 13.

Of the deaths that were registered between last Friday and this Thursday in the hospitals of Castilla y León, the majority occurred in the centers of the province of León (17), followed by Palencia (ten), Salamanca (six) and Brugos. and Valladolid, with five in each case. Next, Ávila and Segovia, both with three, and Soria and Zamora, with one deceased.

As for the new infections, only on the last day 991 were reported. In the lead were Valladolid, with 226, and Salamanca, with 173. León had 138 and Burgos, 131. Below a hundred were Segovia (43), Soria (50), Zamora and Palencia, both with 66, and Ávila (98).

Active outbreaks reach 111, with 2,019 linked cases. Salamanca and Valladolid register 21 active outbreaks, with 354 associated cases in the Charra province and 234 in Valladolid. Next is Zamora (17 outbreaks and 577 cases), Burgos (13 outbreaks and 349 positives) and Palencia (12 and 127). On the contrary, the lowest number of outbreaks is recorded in Segovia, with two and 17 associated cases, followed by León (7 and 126). In Ávila and Soria there are 9, with 149 cases in the province of Avila and 86 in Soriana.

Meanwhile, hospital discharges total 326 since Tuesday.
