A total of 102,470 people have participated in the Night of the Museums in Barcelona and its metropolitan area held this weekend, in an edition that, after two years marked by the pandemic, has returned to the usual face-to-face format, reports Ep.

In Barcelona, ​​75 facilities have participated: the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (Macba) has welcomed 4,079 visitors; the Castle of Montjuïc, to 3,533, and the National Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), to 7,831 visitors, as reported by the Barcelona City Council this Sunday in a statement.

Cultural facilities from Badalona, ​​Cornellá, Esplugas, Hospitalet, San Adrián del Besós, Sant Joan Despí and Santa Coloma, towns around the Catalan capital, have also taken part, receiving a total of 9,934 people.

Between 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, visitors have been able to visit more than 120 exhibitions and carry out more than 60 free activities, such as guided or dramatized visits, workshops, concerts and poetry, dance and theater, among others.

This edition has included nine new centers, including the Botanical Garden of the Museum of Natural Sciences, the Chocolate Museum, the Palau Robert and the F. C. Barcelona museum space.
