MidAmerican Energy reports power outages affecting hundreds in Iowa Quad Cities Area, Bettendorf
QUAD CITIES, Iowa – MidAmerican Energy has reported a significant number of power outages in the Iowa Quad Cities Area, specifically in Bettendorf. As of 9:43 p.m., 531 customers were without power in Bettendorf alone. Additionally, 55 customers in Davenport and 54 customers in Scott County were also affected by the outages.
Earlier in the day, at 5 p.m., MidAmerican Energy reported 393 customers without power in the Iowa Quad Cities Area. This included 147 outages in Eldridge, 165 in Scott County, 57 in Davenport, and 24 in Bettendorf.
The cause of the power outages has not been disclosed at this time, but MidAmerican Energy is working diligently to restore power to all affected customers.
