Mannheim: Pedestrians hit the sidewalk and seriously injured

A pedestrian was hit by a car on a sidewalk in Mannheim and suffered life-threatening injuries. The 19-year-old driver skidded in Römerstraße on Friday afternoon “probably due to improper speed” and left the road, the police said in the evening. The car hit the man. The identity of the pedestrian was not yet clear in the evening. He was taken to a hospital. The car crashed into a power pole.
