Three men blew up and plundered an ATM in Neuhausen auf den Fildern (Esslingen district). They then fled early Friday morning with the loot in a sports car, the police said. The unknown perpetrators had caused the machine to explode with a previously unknown explosive. A large-scale search with a police helicopter was initially unsuccessful. The room where the ATM was was completely destroyed. The blast also caused damage to the house. The extent of the damage and the spoils was still unclear in the morning. According to a police spokesman, no one was injured.
