In Nieder-Olm there was a fire in an apartment building on Tuesday night. One person was slightly injured by smoke inhalation, said a police spokesman in the morning. The officials assume an estimated property damage of around 300,000 euros. The flames had severely damaged the top floor of the house, which had a total of six apartments. In addition, the apartments on the ground floor and first floor were damaged by extinguishing water. The police are still investigating the cause of the fire in all directions. According to initial findings, however, a grill on a balcony could have triggered the fire. The residents are currently staying with friends and relatives as the house cannot be entered yet.
