After a knife attack with a life-threateningly injured person in the Wunstorf train station (Lower Saxony), the perpetrator is still on the run. This was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Hanover police situation center on Saturday morning. The investigation continues, it said.

On Friday afternoon, a man fatally injured a 35-year-old with a knife. The police did not provide any information as to whether there was any evidence of the identity of the perpetrator. The spokeswoman could not provide any information on Saturday morning about the health of the victim.

The crime happened during a dispute at Wunstorf train station. According to witnesses, the victim had clashed with a younger man on a railroad track. As a police spokesman said on Friday, the younger man stabbed the 35-year-old several times, injuring his upper body and leg. Four first responders – a federal police officer and three nurses – took care of the 35-year-old, who was then taken to the hospital.
