Noémie Leduc Vaudry, Antoine Olivier Pilon, Joakim Robillard and Catherine St-Laurent will star in the new series “L’air d’aller”, which will be broadcast next winter on Télé-Québec.
The four actors will play friends with cystic fibrosis who, upon learning that one of them risks dying before the end of the hot season, will have an impulse to live and fully enjoy the present moment. The themes of friendship, dreams to materialize and illness will be explored. The project is described as an “exceptional, touching and inspiring comedy that shows that sick people are sometimes happier than healthy people!”
This will be the first series of the poet and novelist Jean-Christophe Réhel. The production was entrusted to Sarah Pellerin and Urbania is producing. This is also his very first fiction.
Antoine Olivier Pilon has shown himself a lot on the big screen, especially in “Mommy” and more recently in “Sam”. Of course, Catherine St-Laurent shone in “District 31” and also in “The Fault” on Club illico. Joakim Robillard is a regular at Télé-Québec where he played in “M’entendre-tu?”, while Noémie Leduc Vaudry was in the credits of “L’Échappée” and “C’est comme ça que je t’ love”.
The rest of the cast will be announced shortly in preparation for the start of filming.
