Lacanau: A sailboat that was left stranded at the south end of the beach by its owner

A small sailboat, which was left stranded at Lacanau’s south shore since Monday, has been there since then. The couple who transported the pleasure boat, a First 211 towards the Arcachon basin is responsible. They were caught in gales and thunderstorms. The boat almost sank several times but the occupants made a decision to swim to the shore to escape the danger. The mishap was overturned and they were uninjured. The municipality advised that the boat be removed within the next few days.
